The Lyonheart K – a recreation of the Jaguar E-Type – will cost from €360k for the Coupe and €375k for the Convertible (pus vat). For your €360k plus VAT (roughly £366k inc vat) you get all the beauty of an E-Type but with modern underpinnings including the heart of a Jaguar XK and its 5.0 litre supercharged V8 with Cosworth tweaks to deliver 575PS offering a very non-E-Type 0-62mph of under 4 seconds. Fifty per cent of Lyonheart K production is staying in Europe, 20 per cent is off to the Middle East and 30 per cent to China, with a total of just 250 cars being built, starting in December 2013 and ending in the summer of 2015.

New Mondeo spearheads Ford's ramp-up of bio-fuel models
Ford announced an expansion in its flexifuel range. Flexifuel allows a vehicle to run on either regular petrol or E85 – an 85/15 percent bio-ethanol/petrol blend – and automatically offsets any carbon emissions produced because more crops are always produced to meet the demand for fuel. Ford president and CEO John Fleming confirmed that the existing Focus and C-Max flexifuel cars would be joined by Mondeo, Galaxy and S-Max derivatives, which will all come on stream from early 2008.

Just a five months on from the debut of the 2012 Mercedes M Class we now get the bonkers version revealed ahead of the 2011 Los Angeles Motor Show – the 202 Mercedes ML63 AMG. Teased last week on Mercedes’ Facebook page, the new ML63 is exactly what we expected from the quickest SUV Mercedes has ever produced. As expected the ML63 gets the new Mercedes twin-turbo 5.5 litre V8.In the ML63 it delivers 518bhp and 516lb/ft of torque enough, Mercedes say, to dispatch the 0-60mph sprint in a ridiculous 4.7 seconds and on to a limited 155mpoh top speed.
